Normal values in numbers

How much urine we produce by day and by night, how much the bladder holds and how much is left behind.

Pill 5 of 12Passing urine: what is normalby Prof. Walter Artibani

What are the factors that determine how many times we go to pass urine during the day and at night?

Many factors come into play: the amount of urine produced (fluid intake, sweating, kidney function), the capacity of the bladder (the urine reservoir), how completely the bladder empties, psychological and emotional state, personal and social habits, and whether or not a toilet is close by.

The amount of urine produced during the night is 20-30% of the amount produced over 24 hours.
